From San Jose / South Bay via US-101 → CA-152 → Summit Rd:

• Take US-101 southbound (or northbound depending on your starting point) toward Watsonville/Monterey Bay.
• Exit onto CA-152 West toward Watsonville.
• Continue on CA-152 until you reach Summit Road (look for signage).
• Turn right onto Summit Rd and follow it uphill toward the centre.
• The entrance is on the right (after ascending into the redwoods and grasslands).
• Drive cautiously: as you ascend, roads get curvy, narrower, and may be less well-lit.

From Monterey Bay / Santa Cruz via CA-1 → CA-129 → Summit Rd:

• From Monterey Bay or Santa Cruz head to CA-1 (coastal highway).
• Take CA-129 (or other connecting route) toward Watsonville inland.
• Merge onto CA-152 East if needed toward Watsonville/summit direction.
• Turn onto Summit Rd (the ascent begins here).
